Twisted Pine

Episode 37: Through the Musical Cosmos

Another exciting podcast from yours truly and my musical cohort, Mary Reines.

Listen here.

Mary shares new music by Rachel Sumner. Rachel is a member of Twisted Pine, a Boston-based band that just won Best Americana band at the Boston Music Awards. You can read my interview with the band in Episode 29 of Through the Musical Cosmos.

Mary segues into some music by Raveena. Definitely check her out!

I give some details about Pete Kennedy’s new memoir, called Tone, Twang, and Taste: A Guitar Memoir.  It’s a fascinating primer about how to build a career in the music business and is full of anecdotes about Pete’s experiences playing with a great many movers and shakers.  A must read!

Then I move on to chat about The Individualist: Digressions, Dreams and Dissertations by Todd Rundgren. I’ve been a Todd fan as long as I can remember.  This book has been a long time in the making and I’m looking forward to diving into it when it finally arrives
